Make a Difference

The Alston Research group is interested in connecting and increasing accessibility to nanotechnology. We actively seek industry partners, government and academic collaborators, and improved opportunities for all students. Whether the opportunities are for our students to participate in industry and government projects, or we can provide an opportunity to rising high school or undergraduate students, we are interested in helping solve problems.

We are always interested in hearing from prospective graduate students, and will usually have 1-2 paid research assistantships upcoming for competitive applicants. The group is highly interdisciplinary, but those students with strong lab-based experience in chemistry disciplines, and/or with nano-synthesis expertise will be favored. Upcoming projects will also explore materials for tissue engineering.
